Yeah, I thought that too but then I wondered how they managed to fit a
construction crew on the said platypus. I can't remember how big that ship is
(that's the one she's in in 'Children of Auron', isn't it?) but I didn't think
it was big enough for that.

Although otoh the doughnut probably doesn't move. Or does it?

Deathwatch is straight after Moloch, no? Is the timescale too tight for
Servalan to have be using the technology from whatever the planet in Moloch is
called (which could map a human brain print onto another human, so probably
also onto an android)?

Though why I bother trying to make sense of the B7 timeline is beyond me.

"Working together' is not really their strong suit, is it?

1. When the scriptwriters can't think of anything else, they have Avon
tinker around with something, so he probably built those too
2. Although my partiality on this subject is notorious, it seems to me
that Avon would be good at building bombs in much the same way
that he's a good shot--i.e., once he decided he was going to be in repeated
situations calling for demolitions and handgun fire, he would practice
until hhe got it down right.
3. Mind you, some of those plot holes could have been blasted by his
prentice efforts.

Oh, yeah, that would have been fun. Avon would have been fun, too
(although then we would have missed some lovely moments on the ship). I
do like the scene with Blake and Jenna in the tree, though.

Which some might argue would not necessarily be a bad thing... :)

So, Sally, you gonna write up some of these alternative episode
versions? Hmmmm? I vote for starting with "Voice from the Past." :)

Sheila Paulson has archived some of her fanfic on the web. It can be found
at:

http://members.aol.com/Venkie/rgb/rgb.htm

Click on "other fanfiction."

The stories are "Tribute" (second season) (Gambit 10) and "A Case of Deja Vu"
(PGP) (Input 4).

She says she'll put up additional stories if there is a demand, so be sure to
let her know if you want to see more.

Last week I mentioned a possible NTSC source for the B7 Mythmaker tapes (only
one out to date is the Jacqueline Pearce one). I've not learned more about
that source, but I have learned that Horizon is able to provide NTSC copies.
Be sure to specify which format you want, PAL or NTSC, when ordering from
Horizon.

For anyone who's wondering whether to get the two latest B7 fan
publications (that I know of), here's a detailed list of what's
in them. I recommend both. Ordering info is on Judith's website
and the Avon Club's site.

I do believe that the Avon Club newsletter is the longest-running
B7 fan publication (in terms of number of issues) of all time.

FTL travel is functionally equivalent to using a "time machine", right?
Therefore I figure in any SF universe wherein FTL travel exists, any
concept of "timeline" or concrete Cause and Effect can be dispensed with
cavalierly if it's getting in one's way.

Three. Bloody inspiring. In fact Brian Croucher throughout is absolutely
gorgeous

I'll take the opportunity to recommend Zenith to anyone who thinks their
taste might coincide with mine at all. I'm not a huge zine-consumer, but I
thoroughly enjoyed this. Good production values, interesting and intelligent
content, nice pictures.

One gripe - four of the pages were blank, when they should evidently have
had content (from the page numbering). Was that a common thing, or just a
glitch in the copy I got?

Alison Page, I hereby bestow upon you the title of FINALACT Acolyte
Extrordinaire, thereby exempting you from *any and all* future Teletubbies
Festivals and/or Karaoke Exhibitions. Let the crowd (hereafter known as
Jacqueline) say A-a-amen!!!

Amen!

From "Cygnus Alpha":

AVON: Where did you get the clothes.

JENNA: I found a room full of them down there. Why don't you
          go and have a look?

Yes. Some people I know personally have, in a test we did on a MUD a
bunch of years ago. One of the submitted programs had people thinking
it was a human for, on average, 45 minutes (it used a number of clever
psychological tricks, but was in no way "intelligent"). Some people
were rejected as programs after only two or three sentences :-)

<waves arms above head, chanting> A-a-amen. A-a-amen. A-amen, Amen, Amen.

BTW, I don't remember four empty pages, so I think Alison was deprived of
four pages of Zenith.

Ooh, Jacqueline, I didn't know you could sing, too! Together now:

See the babe B. Croucher (A-a-amen)
Modelling the swimwear (A-a-amen)
In the middle of Zenith! (A-amen, Amen, Amen.)
Sing it over...

Nor I - give Andy a shout, Alison, I'm sure you can get a replacement copy.

That's very pleasing!

No. Although I'm highly tempted to model a pink handbag to add to my
model of fourth series black leather clad maniac fanning a blaster as if
it's a Colt.
