I'm a bit behind but I'm partaking of the quick stuff...

I checked out the WuNames site and came up with these three for my name and its variations:

Susie: Action Packed Mentallist
Sue: Dubious Masturbatah-X
Susan: Tha Prickly Comedian

My husband is Tha 23rd Buchan, whatever that is! My daughter is Touchy-Feely Unpublished Poet.

Our cats came up as 1) Grand Moff Puppeteer, 2) Ol' Filthy Sweaty Bastard and 3) Undiscovered Bum.

This is too silly. Stop this sketch....

Andy answered my query with the tragic news that:

>> The cosy in question got quite badly cut up during Travis' last scenes.
(etc.)

Thank you kindly for the information, Andy. I can at least console myself
with the knowledge that it died honourably in battle.

So then Una sez:

>Christ, I can hear Penny hyperventilating from here...

Hyperventilating in rage over the fact that the BBC could have callously
discarded such an invaluable treasure, damaged or no, you mean? Well of
course I am. But certainly not over the phrase "harness underneath the skin
tight jumpsuit, hoisted up on wires, and spun like a wind chime".

Sky One teletext is claiming there is Dr Who and Blake's 7 news on
premium line 09065 500698. The trouble is this costs one pound a minute.
If anyone is feeling like throwing money away or can do it from work,
let us know what they say. My guess is it'll be a load of tosh.

Impressive. Most impressive (he said, deliberately lifting a quote from
Darth Vader rather than anything Blakey)

Una, quoting the BBC:

Disagree. The comments about sets and effects are generally true of the
entire series (though those in TWB are above par - is the blurb episode
specific or covering the series as a whole?). And the opening ep *does*
seem to be tough going for some people. Not romantic-fantastic enough, I
spose. Which is why others of us think it's one of the best.

Ellynne listed:

Thinking about this issue when I watched it live on Saturday on BBC2
(Hurrah!), Bran Foster's phrasing ("No matter what the provocation, we must
not resort to violence") did seem to imply that he, at least, is a
pacifist.

to answer a question I've been asked a couple of times off list -

Once we have the credit card facility set up, we will be more than happy to
process credit card registrations for Redemption. (there'll be an extra charge
to cover the credit card cost, as there will also be with zine orders)

We will also be able to take debit cards. The actual cards we'll be able to
take are Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Switch, solo, debit cards, but not Amex or
Diners Club nor Maestro nor Electron.

It'll be be about a month before the facility is in use as we want to test the
software before we start taking actual orders by this method.

Hi... I'm new in this list and I'm very happy to be in it...
anyways...

What I think happened in the last episode is:

Avon killed Servalan. That distinctive smirk on his face was so obvious
to me that I caught it the first time I saw it. I think the way he acted
said it all...

Anyone agree with me?..... Any different ideas?.....

The ONElist is "Cult TV". Most of the list members are
Cult TV attendees or Crew, and at present a lot of the
discussion is about Cult TV 2000. It covers any TV
show that could be considered "cult" - try the website
at http://www.Cult-TV.freeserve.co.uk

I'll go back to lurking now.

Sorry, Michael, but that's highly unlikely. First of all, Servalan wasn't in the
episode, and there was no indication by dialogue that she was behind the Gauda
Prime operation, either. Of course, in some PGP's she turns up just after the
final scene ends, but Chris Boucher, who wrote the episode "Blake", said she
wasn't on Gauda Prime, so if you want to argue by canon...

Avon's smirk at the end: there are lots of interpretations around, but I'd go
with the one that he knew his fate finally was settled and that they wouldn't
catch him alive. It also always reminded me of the way he laughed in Horizon
when he does have the opportunity to escape with the Liberator on his own but
instead decides to go down and rescue Blake & the others.
