From: lenadams@mojave.win.net (Lenadams Dorris) Date: Fri, 20 Aug 1993 23:30:47 GMT Overwatering is certainly a major cause of loss for lavender, as well as its compatriots cistus, helianthus, rosemary, bush morning glory, thyme, etc.... all those things that evolved in a sunny, summer dry Mediterranean climate. In cooler, wetter climes, you should always make special consideration for these plants to have good drainage, and keep your eyes out for varieties proven to be more tolerant of your climate. Or you could move south and join us........ ;') Len (whose lavender looks fab all year around, including the French, Spanish, Hidcote, Munstead, Alba, Spike and Canary Island varieties...)
